Basic construction parameters and procedures
If you are unsure about installing, please call an expert. Construction procedures are the same as with natural wood, as well as processing and work with the WPC material.
- If you haven’t used WPC material yet, always pre-drill WPC products, or else you risk damaging them.
- When installing the terrace, always keep the distance between the supporting base prisms 300 to 400 mm aprox. To reach table values, use a distance of 350 mm.
- The base under the terrace must be reinforced and the base underlying structure must be anchored. Otherwise, the whole terrace can be move or fold.
- The end of the terrace plate must be secured and cannot overhang from the last fastening for more than 20mm. Otherwise, it can be damaged or bent.
- When connecting plates, you need to double the underlying base prisms
The above procedures are basic and commonly used. However, they may differ because of the base, terrain or other constructional procedures used during construction. For more information, refer to the download documents in general construction designs.
Distance space
When installing, keep the distance space 5 mm between profiles at each edge of every profile. It is necessary to have the gap on every profile, which means also on tiles. Unless the construction clip is provided, which creates the gap automatically. In addition, the terraces have a starting clip. The starting clip secure the profiles against shifting on the construction prisms.
